About WSCF

The World Stem Cell Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of patients and other consumers who want current information and answers to their questions about stem cell research, therapies and clinical trials. The Foundation collaborates with partners from public and private organizations that address specific disease and injury conditions through research, clinical trials, new treatment therapies and education.

The World Stem Cell Foundation was established in 2008 to address the lack of knowledge and resources for consumers, and to assist patients and family members with reliable and credible information to make appropriate health and medical decisions. As new findings are announced and new therapies become available, this information will be passed along to consumers. With respected scientists and organizations to advise on program activities, the World Stem Cell Foundation strives to be the “one-stop shop” for accurate information and reliable resources on stem cells. We are dedicated to patients and consumers, and to the best information available -- based on evidence from scientific studies and practices.

The World Stem Cell Foundation's goal is twofold -- to increase consumer knowledge about stem cell science, and to increase consumer health literacy, which will help patients and their family members to make informed choices about their health care and participation in stem cell therapies and clinical trials. The Foundation partners with credible organizations throughout the United States and around the globe to develop consumer-driven initiatives and collaborative projects, which are based on input gathered from stakeholders, public opinion polls and audience research. A central clearinghouse for stem cell information and a public education campaign with a dedicated Web site, interactive media and disease-specific resources are planned. They will make it easier for patients and family members to access the wide array of stem cell information available and to engage in dialogue about research news, clinical trials, educational events, and treatment options as these are announced.

CONTRIBUTIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. This campaign is administered by World Stem Cell Foundation a 501(C)(3) non-profit entity (TAX ID: 68-0644468). The World Stem Cell Foundation will send an acknowledgment for any contributions of $200.00 or more, or if requested by the contributor of a lesser amount. World Stem Cell Foundation has the authority regarding administration and disbursement of all contributions.
